Capture the flag is one of the most popular paintball games. Originally paintball was mostly a game of elimination where each team tried to hit every single player on the opposing team. Capture the flag grew out of the desire to attach an objective to the game. At Urban War Zone we play three variations of capture the flag.
The first variation is begins with two teams lined up on opposite sides of the playing field. The flag is placed in the ammo depot and secured to the top of a 25’ pole. When the signal is given, both teams will fight to take the building, drop the flag, and return it to their home base. Once the flag is returned to home base, the game is over.
The second version of capture the flag is where one team starts inside the ammo depot and the attacking team is spread out all around the building. When the signal is given the team inside will fight to keep the flag at the top of the pole. When the attacking team lowers the flag, the game is over.
The last version of capture the flag begins with two teams lined up on opposite sides of the field. The flag is placed in the middle and when the signal is given the teams will fight to take the flag. The game will end once the flag is captured and pushed forward to the enemy team’s home base.
