While Hurricane Beryl may be behind Houston, the effects of the storm are still being felt by our hard-working residents. Like many of you, our property sustained significant damage from the hurricane’s high winds. Broken fences, spoiled food, damaged bunkers, and fallen trees were just a few of the challenges we faced. Over the past several days, our team has worked tirelessly in the heat to repair what we could, and I’m happy to report that we’ve made tremendous progress. Our team has pulled together to get the majority of the damage out of the way and the park functional again.
Thanks to our team’s efforts, I’m proud to announce that Urban War Zone is operational again and will be open this weekend. However, it’s important to note that we are not yet at full capacity. The most significant and difficult damage to repair is our signature stadium lighting which makes Urban War Zone the premier destination to play paintball at night. Beryl’s high winds toppled trees around the park, which in turn damaged the power supply to these lights. Repairing them will be time-consuming and expensive.
We aren’t alone in this. Many of our neighbors and their businesses sustained damage to their property as well. Frustratingly, some still don’t have power. As always, we will come together, we will get through this - together.
“Texas Tough. Texas Strong.”
We understand that paintball is not a priority at this time, and rightfully so. We simply wanted to let you know that we are open, repairs are ongoing, and we expect to return to full operation in the next few weeks. We wish you well as you work to fix the damage to your own homes and businesses. When it’s done, we will be here to help make life’s celebrations a blast for you and your family.
Sincerely, The Urban War Zone Team
